On Wednesday, 16th February 2022, Afriglobal Medicare was present at the University of Lagos, Yaba, to celebrate with the prestigious department of Medical Laboratory Science on the occasion of their induction.

Induction Ceremony

The event was the department’s 6th induction and graduation ceremony. It witnessed the attendance of academia’s creme de la crème. These included the Vice-Chancellor of Unilag, lecturers, members of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria, families, and also well-wishers. They all graced the occasion alongside several media representatives who were present to document the event.

Significantly representing Afriglobal Medicare were Fadekemi Sutton (HR Business Partner), Davis Aniemeka (Digital Brand Manager), and Emmanuel Eko (Lab Manager) to show support for the graduating students.  

As management representatives, the trio reiterated the organization’s commitment to increasing and supporting medical education in Nigeria. Their presence also reinforced Afriglobal Medicare’s devotion to community building and corporate social responsibility.

Continuing in its yearly tradition of giving students outstanding performance prizes, Afriglobal Medicare awarded cash prizes worth #100,000.

The two best graduating students of the department received the cash gifts, and their names were:

  1. Oveje-Aya Ruth OgheneAkpobo (CGPA 4.67), and 
  2. Amusa-Daudu Damilola Moses (4.67).

Afriglobal Medicare rewarded the students with a cash sum of #50,000 each. In addition, the representatives of AML commended the students for their hard work and also pledged the organization’s continuous support to the institution.

Indeed, the induction ceremony stood as a reminder that hard work truly pays. This reminder was evident because friends and family members of the inductees were seen in high spirits celebrating success.

Unquestionably, Afriglobal Medicare demonstrated and continues to show its position as a leader in the industry. Commenting on Afriglobal Medicare’s vision, Mr Davis Aniemeke spoke on AML’s plans to provide more testing centres across Nigeria. To bolster this, he spoke about an array of discounted testings planned in the coming months, alongside collaborations community involvement.

Also addressing the inductees, Ms Fadekemi Sutton spoke on AML’s commitment to community impact. She said, “In the near future, we are looking forward to extravagantly giving to support education. We are also excited about opportunities to immensely contribute to the advancement of medical education. This will improve the healthy and wellness of all Nigerians. We are a growing global brand, and we shall not relent in our commitment to service.”
